Stri Evam Prasooti Roga (Gynecology)

Streeroga and Prasuti Tantra focus on the comprehensive management of health issues that primarily affect women throughout different stages of their lives, encompassing both gynecological and obstetric care. These specialized branches of medicine specifically address the diagnosis, treatment, and overall well-being of women, paying particular attention to diseases and conditions that are unique to the female reproductive system and the process of childbirth.

Kaumarbhritya (Paedia)

Kaumarbhritya is a highly significant branch within the field of Ayurveda, primarily focused on providing comprehensive healthcare for children from conception to maturity. Kayachikitsa (Medicine)

Ayurveda follows a holistic approach to life, focusing on the treatment of the body, mind, and soul. The first branch of Ashtang Ayurveda is Kayachikitsa, which pertains to general medicine. The term "kaya" denotes the body, while "chikitsa" refers to treatment. Furthermore, "kaya" also represents the concept of Agni (digestive fire), which serves as the foundation for Ayurvedic therapeutics. Balancing Agni is fundamental in treating most diseases. Kayachikitsa encompasses unique aspects such as Rasayana (Rejuvenation) and Vajikaran (Aphrodisiac) therapies. Rasayana therapy promotes overall health and vitality, while Vajikaran therapy enhances sexual vigor and facilitates the conception of a healthy offspring.

Panchkarma

Ayurveda has a dual purpose: to preserve and enhance the health of those who are already healthy, and to address the ailments of those who are ill. In order to achieve these objectives, Ayurveda offers a range of health regimens and treatment modalities. When it comes to treatment methods, Ayurveda delineates the use of two approaches: shaman (palliative treatment) and shodhan (bio-purification methods). Shodhan, also known as Panchakarma, refers to a set of five body purification techniques. These methods are employed in individuals who are in good health to prevent diseases and boost immunity, as well as in patients who are unwell to treat a variety of ailments.

Shalakya (E.N.T)

The Department of Shalakya Tantra specializes in the treatment of all diseases occurring above the clavicle using authentic Ayurvedic methods. The department ensures comprehensive Ayurvedic care, incorporating modern documentation processes that include evidence gathering, adherence to international evaluation standards, and recording of testimonials.

Shalya is a medical procedure that entails surgically opening a person's body with the intention of repairing or removing a diseased or damaged part.

Swathvritta (Community Medicine)

In this context, "kaya" signifies the body, while "chikitsa" denotes treatment. Moreover, "kaya" also encompasses the concept of Agni (digestive fire), which serves as the foundation of Ayurvedic therapeutics.
